Breathturn
According to last.fm, US 2-piece Hammock are my eighth most listened to band EVER (between of Montreal and Magnetic Fields). They make music of the pretty, sleepy, dreamy, gliding variety. If you're into MBV, Slowdive, Sigur Ros, Growing, M83, Belong, Grouper, Mark Kozelek, July Skies etc, then this might just be your thing.
The new album is out in May.

Feel Like Dancing
Thin Ice is the second single from Gus Gus's 24/7. It's another soulful spin on techno that pulses and gleams it's way into your mind and then won't quit. Gus Gus repeat their triumphant Airwaves perfomance at NASA in Reykjavik next Friday. Anyone wanna to buy me a ticket and a plane ride? Feel free...

BRAINLOVE FESTIVAL 2010 ANNOUNCED
29th & 30th May 2010
@ Brixton Windmill, Blenheim Gardens, London
Day and Weekend Tickets On Sale Now at £12/£20
16 of the final 40 bands announced including headliners: David Thomas Broughton and Drum Eyes
Brainlove Festival 2010 is go! Your essential glimpse into the thriving UK underground is back with another packed bill of pop oddities, brand new talents, breaking leftfield acts and cult stars.
Having rammed Brixton's Windmill to the rafters in 2009, Brainlove Festival continues to go from strength to strength. Distinguished by a carnival atmosphere, a packed out crowd and a cavalcade of sonic creativity, the festival has doubled to two days for 2010 with 40 bands packed into the lineup on indoor and outdoor stages.
16 acts were announced this morning exclusively on new online festival hub http://www.thisfestivalfeeling.com, including the two main stage headliners - the extraordinarily talented DAVID THOMAS BROUGHTON, and DRUM EYES, who's lineup includes DJ SCOTCH EGG and members of BOREDOMS and POWER UP.
Tickets are on sale now via Wegotickets. Weekend tickets are just £20, working out at 50p per band, and day tickets are priced at £12.
Previous BRNLV events have featured early shows from the likes of FUCK BUTTONS, SCROOBIUS PIP, BISHI, THE RESEARCH, INTERNET FOREVER, GAGGLE, GAY AGAINST YOU and AGASKODO TELIVEREK, so you can try and spot the bands on the lineup who are on their way to wider acclaim and appreciation in 2010.
In the run-up to the festival, Brainlove will be blogging a band a day, with MP3s and videos for you to check out, on the Brainlove Blog. The logo and artwork will be by CHAOS vs COSMOS, and will be unveiled next week.

Roomy
A new track from The Twilight Sad. The chiming piano reminds of Johnny Cash's 'Hurt' and the simmering tempo builds over scratchy black and white film a la 'Paris, Texas'. Nice.
